Can you really earn money for surveys online?  That depends upon what you call “earning money”.  It is practically impossible to earn a living taking online surveys but you can actually earn some money if you qualify for the high-paying surveys.  That’s right, survey-taking depends a lot on whether or not you actually qualify for taking the survey and it often takes several minutes of your time to see whether or not you actually qualify for taking the survey.  The survey site wants to know how old you are, how much money you make, who lives with you and other personal items related to your shopping habits or television-watching habits.  If you fit their criteria, you can take the survey for cash, prizes, points towards cash or sweepstakes entry points.

If you don’t fit the criteria, you have wasted your time and must move on to another survey.  It actually takes a while to get into the survey taking business.  You often register at a site or company and they get back to you when you qualify for one of their surveys.  You need to check your email inbox for survey requests and then you take surveys that you’ve already pre-qualified for.  The more sites you register for, the greater is the chance that you will qualify for a survey and the more money you’ll make.

Sometimes you can get your teens to take surveys for money and they get to keep the money (or give it to the family if you wish).  Surveys for teens are plentiful as many companies want to know what this age group has to say about things in the advertising industry so you should have no trouble getting surveys for them.  Teens like the computer anyway so you can get them to do something constructive on it by filling out surveys.  Too often, however, teen surveys are low-paying or pay in sweepstake entries or prizes, none of which actually helps the income of the family.  Still, there are some paying survey “jobs” out there and your teen can participate in the family income.

Because there are demographic variations in who the survey companies take, you can have more than one family member take part in the surveys. If you have adult children or parents that live with you, they can register for survey sites and can partake in the family income by taking surveys on the Internet.  If you have more than one computer in the family, it’s a good idea to make use of them with more than one family member belonging to a mega-site or filling out individual surveys at sites offering to pay a few dollars for each survey taken.  Have a family member take part in a focus group, which generally pays better than just partaking in a survey.

While you can’t earn a living doing surveys, you can easily make a bit of spare cash for you to enjoy going out to dinner or in order to save up for something special.
